DescriptionIf Ball's paper is read and the Committee of Papers subsequently determine that it shall not appear in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', it would be deposited in the archives as the property of the Society. An author may withdraw a paper which has been received but not read.

During the recess the officers are authorized to refer papers for an opinion upon them.
