TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to J Street, Office of Works, War Office, Pall Mall
Date25 September 1895
DescriptionRix is sorry to say that the careless way in which Whiteley's have carried out their work at the Albany has caused considerable damage. The rubbish they created stopped a gutter which has occasioned a blockage through the Society's wall and damaged the distemper on their staircase. Rix thinks Street should see what has been done so that he may, if he thinks it is proper, communicate with them.

They are in some fear concerning the cistern at the top of the house which seems to have worn very thin. If it was to burst it would be a very considerable problem and Rix thinks it should be inspected.

Rix's requisition of the 16th for a sashline in the saloon has not been attended to.
