TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt]
Date11 April 1895
DescriptionProfessor [George Downing] Liveing has reported on the Bakerian Lecture. Asks if Rayleigh can name a second referee.

Dr [John] Hopkinson has sent a duplicate copy of the paper by himself and [Ernest] Wilson on 'Alternate current dyamo machines' so that the Society may send the paper to two referees at once. At present no referee has been appointed.

The inclosed circular to Mr Baly has not yet been signed and Rix wonders if it might go now. When the Society submitted it for signature the paper had not been read and they were to wait till after the reading.
