TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs West Newman & Company
Date18 October 1895
DescriptionRix has attended to the request contained in the Messrs' of the 16th and reminded Dr [Michael] Foster of the Messrs claims as a firm who have worked for the Society for many years.

Unfortunately the funds of the Society have been low of late and they have been forced to have recourse to the cheapest processes. The plates for Messrs [Dmitri Ivanovich] Mendeleef's [paper] they were obliged ultimately to abandon, using zincograph for those which are to be published, and which they found would cost less than half of the lithographic process.

[Part of copyscript faded to illegibility] Hopes that in future they shall have some work to give the Messrs.
