DescriptionThe President Lord Kelvin [William Thomson] to whom the Ambassador's letter of the 16th was addressed in application on behalf of the Bibliotheque de l'École Nationale Supérieure des Mines, for a set of the 'Challenger' Reports, wishes Rix to send assurance that the application will be laid before the appropriate Committee who are drawing up a list of institutions for the consideration of Her Majesty's Treasury, to which it will be desirable to present copies of the Report.
