TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Edkins & Company
Date4 November 1895
DescriptionAfter excessive delay with Messrs [William Crawford] Williamson & [Dukinfield Henry] Scott's plates the Messrs promised that the Society should certainly have proofs of the plates with headlines by 31st October but they have seen nothing and Rix writes to say that they are very seriously inconvenienced in their publication department by this unheard of procrastination. It will certainly make the Society think twice before using the Messrs for any further illustrations for the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'.
