Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to His Excellency the German Ambassador |
Date | 13 November 1895 |
Description | His Excellency will doubtless be interested to hear that the Society has presented its Copley Medal to Professor Karl Wesierstrass, a Foreign Member of the Society, for his investigations in pure mathematics. Asks if His Excellency could possibly be present at some portion of the function to take place on the 30th.
The President received with regret His Excellency's intimation that it would not be possible to be present at the Anniversary Dinner on the evening of that day, but Foster hopes he may be present at the distribution of the Medals which takes place at 4 o'clock. |
