TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Surveyor of Taxes, 37 Spring Gardens, S.W.
Date31 December 1895
DescriptionRix incloses two applications for Income Tax received at the Royal Society for Theodore E James. He notes that, as occurred last year, this is case of double assessment. The one pound, six shillings and eight pence is correct, but the one pound and ten shillings includes this sum. The latter should be only on five pounds received from the Treasury for clerical work in connection with the Government Grant. Rix states it is correct that this should be on a separate form as the former is paid by the Society, and the latter by James.
