Description'Dear Sir,
Your letter (received here on the 27th inst.) has remained unanswered until to-day in consequence of the office having been closed for the Christmas recess. I send herewith a statement of duties, and the four days which have been lost by my delay in sending it shall not prejudice your application if you decide to put in. The application must reach us by the end of the present week, which will be an equivalent to the four days which have been lost.
