TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date6 January 1896
Description'Dear Sir,
With the New Year we begin the system of analysed titles for "Proceedings [of the Royal Society]", I presume, as well as for "Transactions" ['Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'], but I am not clear whether this is to be done for abstracts as well as for full papers. Will you instruct me on this point? I have put the three Sectional Committees in type (proof only), but will not print off until I hear from Prof. Lamb. I have your note about Dr Klein's paper. It might be returned to him at once; no "permission" is needed for withdrawal.
Yours truly
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
