TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Ludwig Mond, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date7 January 1896
Description'Dear Sir,
Dr Foster desires me to inform you that meeting by chance the Italian Ambassador he took the opportunity of showing him the Italian translation of the letter to Lord Salisbury which you were so good as to furnish to the Royal Society. His Excellency suggested some alterations in the letter, and I inclose herewith a copy of the translation as it now stands. At the same time, I take the opportunity of sending you a copy of the German translation in the form in which we propose to send it out, Dr Hugo Muller having looked it through at the request of the Committee and made some suggestions.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
