TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Drake & Gorham, 66 Victoria Street, S.W.
Date17 January 1896
Description'Dear Sirs,
I should be much obliged if you would kindly finish the electric lighting work upon which you are engaged here without further delay. Our Fellows (on one of our busiest days) were left in darkness yesterday. It is excessively inconvenient to have these accidents so often occurring. The spikes for which your men said they were waiting arrived a week ago and are lying here.
Yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
