TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Silvanus Phillips Thompson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date24 January 1896
Description'Dear Sir,
I went into the Chemical Society last evening hoping to see you about arrangements for exhibiting the "new photography" next Thursday. If alternating current has to be laid on we must put it in hand immediately, as official permission has to be obtained from the Board of Works; but Professor [William] Ramsay assures me that an induction coil is all that is required. In the former case, please telegraph directly you get this note; in the latter case it will be sufficient to see you when you call on Monday.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
