| Description | Rix explains that Professor [William Chandler] Roberts-Austen will be delivering the Bakerian Lecture on the following Thursday, and has a few requirements for which they will come to Newton & Company. They require a small "Newtonian" arch lamp, pattern A, the Holden design, and a microscope attachment fitted on to their electric lantern for use with two slides in conjunction with ordinary projections. The slides will only require a low power objective.
He asks to know whether a man can be sent between 4.30 and 5pm on Wednesday to attach the apparatus, they will try to get the two slides for trial, and the lamp should be brought at the same time. |
