TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr George Lovell Gulland, 6 Alva Street, Edinburgh
Date19 February 1896
DescriptionRix states that he has handed Gulland's letter of the previous day to the Senior Secretary and the matter will be put right in Committee the following day. He clarifies that he did not mean to express doubt in Gulland's good faith, but the assertion which Langley's letter did not bear our was that Langley made it clear at the time that the paper was not sent to the Royal Society for publication in full. Langley sent in the paper for publication in 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' or the 'Journal of Physiology'.

Rix is sure that the matter will be settled in accordance with Gulland's wishes.
