TitleCopy letter from [Michael Foster], to the Honorary Secretaries, Entomological Society
Date25 February 1896
DescriptionFoster is able to inform them that the President and Council of the Royal Society have decided to grant to the Entomological Society the sum of fifty pounds from the 1000 pounds placed on the estimates of the Government as a grant to Society in aid of scientific publications, to assist in the publication of a memoir by Professor Williston.

The provisional nature of the decision is noted as the money has yet to be voted by parliament, and when it is, will not come to the Society before midsummer. Foster further asks that they inform him when the memoir has been published with the assistance of the grant, they will inform the President and Council.
