In reply to your letter of the 14th inst. [instant] I am directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society to state that they are quite willing that an officer of your Department should visit the apartments of the Society, with the view of seeing if the Society possesses anything which might seem desirable for the loan collection spoken of in your letter.
