TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to William Henry St John Hope, Assistant Secretary, Society of Antiquaries
Date25 February 1896
Description'Dear Mr. Hope,
I have to acknowledge yours of the 21st., and to say in answer that I am not aware of any defects in ^our disused lantern^ and that it was in good working order when we ceased to use it. It was not abandoned for any defect in the lantern but because it was not easily adapted to spectrum purposes or to microscopic projection. I daresay we could arrange for you to try it, if you care to do so.
Yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
