TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date28 February 1896
DescriptionRix has noticed in the minutes for the Committee of Papers that "Leave to withdraw" stands against Schafer and Moore's paper, but he states that this is against Statute chapter 14, section 6, which requires that papers not withdrawn before being read to the Society and not published in the Society's publications, be preserved in its archives.

He has also discovered that Foster wrote to Mr Langley to say the paper should go to him. Rix asks what he is to do, namely whether he is to have a copy made at the Society's expense, or lend the manuscript to Langley by leave of Council. He states that Schafer and Moore's paper was read on 30 January.
