Description'Soirée
Dear Sir,
We are sorry to hear that you cannot be present on May 6th, but we should like to have your exhibit all the same. We could get some near biologist exhibitor to look after your sections, unless perhaps you know someone who is coming over. The suggestion that we should communicate with you came originally from Prof. [Professor] Haddon, who is himself exhibiting on May 6th. Doubtless he would undertake the charge of your exhibit if you are agreeable to this.
Yrs [Yours] truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. RS. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
