TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Richard Tetley Glazebrook, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date27 April 1896
Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of yesterday to Mr Rx (which has come into my hands), I inclose a few copies of the forms hitherto used in submitting papers to referees. Under the new Standing Orders these forms will, I imagine, become obselete, or will, at any rate, require modification to adapt them to the new arrangements for dealing with papers. New forms for this purpose are under consideration by the Secretaries. I find that it is the practice to have papers in the building on the day that they are read, and on that account, as two papers by [William de Wiveleslie] Abney & [Thomas Edward] Thorpe and [Joseph Norman] Lockyer are down for next Thursday, I presume that it will fulfil your purpose if they are sent on to Dr [Arthur] Schuster on Friday?
I am, faithfully yours,
Robt Harrison
Asst Sec R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
