Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society |
Date | 4 May 1896 |
Description | Harrison sends thanks for Foster's note with the minutes, and states that he was intending to write and despatch letters to him, but he will retain them for Foster to sign as he wishes.
He has discovered the tickets for Kew staff had not gone, so sent them at once, blaming the oversight on the pressures of work. He further notes that Mr James has had a lot to do with very little assistance, and proposes letting him have extra help from Mr Chapman on such occasions to prevent mistakes being made.
Harrison has attended to the other matters in Foster's letter. He encloses a proof of the new cover for papers, about which he asks Foster's opinion regarding the size, shape, and whether the lines should be dotted or ruled.
In a postscript he asks if a day next week, no later than Thursday 14th, would be suitable for the Soiree Committee meeting. |
