Date25 June 1896
Description'Can you throw any light on the enclosed cheque? It has been returned to me by the bankers as the "body and figure differ", and they have marked it on the back "Pasteur Memorial Fund". It has not been passed through to the bankers on account of the Pasteur Fund by me, and I do not know anything about it. Perhaps you can help me?
I am,
Yours faithfully,
Robt Harrison
Assst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
