| Description | The Committee appointed by the Society to enquire into the Tsetse Fly wish to know, so far as possible, its geographical distribution.
Foster is directed to request that the Secretary of State direct enquiries to be made as to the localities in which the Tsetse occurs. Foster lists seven African protectorates from which information is desired. All that is sought is to ascertain the several boundaries of the regions where the fly occurs. Any details such as districts from which the Tsetse has been known to disappear, or in which it has made its appearance being previously unknown, will be welcomed.
If possible specimens of the fly and, if they can be obtained, its larva and pupa, preserved in spirit, from the several infested districts may be sent home and forwarded to the Society. |
