TitleCopy letter from Theodore E James, to W Crouch, Grafton House, Wanstead
Date27 August 1896
DescriptionSends thanks for two excerpts. The Huygen's exhibition will be held in the picture gallery of The Hague in early September. The Society will lend the Huygenian object glasses and anything else that can safely be lent out of custody. If Crouch approves, James will send one of his pamphlets to the Commission as doubtless the many interesting references to the object glasses would prove of service for their catalogue.

Asks if he ever showed Crouch an inventory of the Huygenian object glasses in the Council Minutes, signed by Martin Folkes in 1748. It was drawn up as they were going to be lent to the Earl of Macclesfield [George Paker] with a micrometer by Graham.
