TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date23 September 1896
DescriptionNumber 280 of the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' is ready for press and Harrison has sent it to the printers but finds there is no index slip ready for it. Asks if he should wait till this is completed or issue it without one. This matter has directed Harrison's attention to the subject of these slips in general. He wishes to know how long these slips will be issued, as at present, with each number of the 'Proceedings'.

From the minutes of Council he finds no resolution ordering the printing of these slips as a regular matter. The continued issue of the slips is a material addition to the printing bill and if it is to continue he supposes there will have to be some resolution of Council upon it.
