TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs Rennie & Company, 4 East India Avenue, E.C.
Date15 October 1896
DescriptionA letter has been received from the Governor of Natal stating that animals which are being sent to England in connection with a scientific enquiry being conducted by the Royal Society, are expected to arrive in the charge of Dr Waghorn of the steamship 'Illovo' which was to sail from Durban on the 26th.

It is very important that these animals, which will probably be guinea pigs, are landed promptly and conveyed to their destination. Asks if any special arrangements shall have to be made for this to occur and asks for a telegram, to be dispatched immediately the animals are landed, to Dr [Alfredo Antunes] Kanthack Pathological Laboratory, St Bartholomew's Hospital.

It would be very useful if Harrison could know the expected date of arrival of the 'Illovo'.
