TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Sydney Howard Vines, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date25 November 1896
DescriptionThe portion of the manuscript 'On the Ascent of Sap' by [Henry Horatio] Dixon and [John] Joly which was not published, is very discontinuous as pages have been extracted in various places to form the published portion.

The copyist working for Vines has asked Harrison for instructions on the subject and so Harrison asks if a fragmented copy of the unpublished manuscript would meet Vines' wishes or whether it should be made complete by collation with the published portion.
