DescriptionThe President and other Officers much regretted that Gegenbaur was unable to receive in person the Copley Medal of the Royal Society at its Anniversary Meeting on 30th November, but Harrison has the pleasure to inform Gegenbaur that Count Hermann Hatzfeldt, of the German Embassy attended the Meeting and received the Medal on Gegenbaur's behalf, and His Excellency the German Ambassador will doubtless transmit it to Gegenbaur in due course.

Sends a cheque herewith for £50 being the gift which annually accompanies this medal. Asks Gegenbaur to sign the accompanying form of receipt and return it at his earliest convenience.
