DescriptionThe President and other Officers much regret that Grassi was unable to receive in person the Darwin Medal at its Anniversary Meeting on 30th November but have the pleasure to inform Grassi that His Excellencey General Ferrero, Ambassador for Italy, attended the Meeting and received the medal on Grassi's behalf.

Encloses herewith a cheque for £100 being the gift which annually accompanies this Medal. Shall be obliged if Grassi will sign the accompanying form of receipt and return it at his earliest convenience [not attached].
