TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to [Messrs Harrison & Sons]
Date11 January 1897
DescriptionHarrison reminds them that Dr George Harley was not removed from their list of Fellows, but Rev Robert Harley was, and he describes this as 'an original sin of yourselves'. He asks them to look again at the proof of 4 December where the Royal Society have correctly taken off Dr George Harley, and then refers them to the proof of 14 December from which they have removed the wrong man, which the Society then incorrectly removed without noticing the error.

Under the circumstances Harrison states that they do not expect to be charged for rectifying the error.
