Date18 January 1897
Description'Dear Mr Roberts,
You must please let us know whether you are away as the result of illness, or from what cause. We have seen nothing of you since 5 o'clock last Friday and no explanation has arrived. As Mr Harrison is away for 8 or 10 days it may be necessary to secure some temporary assistance seeing that you are also absent, but first it is essential to hear from you or from some one you can depute to write.
Yrs very truly,
