TitleCopy letter from Theodore E James, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date18 January 1897
DescriptionJames sends a summons for the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers' Committee, having discovered that their new staff member omitted the Officers as they were not among the printed list of names. He notes that Professor Arthur Rucker has seen the enclose card referring to proofs and made no changes.

He also explains that Mr Roberts has not been in that day, and was not in on Saturday, so he has written to enquire whether he is ill. James had sent him home the previous Friday as he had complained of feeling unwell. Although the situation is unfortunate, he suggests that he can manage for now.

The index has gone to Professor Armstrong, but Professor Arthur Rucker wants to discuss it with Foster. He will send the draft Council Card the next day for his approval.
