TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Miss Chambers
Date1 February 1897
DescriptionHarrison states that he does not understand the business about Mr Porter which he believes began while he was away, but if the Secretaries authorised the staff to spend time on this task he can say nothing more. The undated letter from Michael Foster which Chambers sent to Harrison that morning, he returns along with the Chamber's letter to Foster which she also enclosed. He also returns the rest of the correspondence.

Harrison knows nothing of Miss Harting, and asks that Chambers enlighten him with any documents she may have.

The list of titles and abbreviations of journal titles is being printed, and Harrison will send it to the Catalogue Committee, requesting that they correct and return it. Chambers should let Harrison know if this needs to be done by a certain date. Such preparation for and communication with the Committee constitute administrative matters and so Harrison must take responsibility for them. With regard to the increase of weekly wages, he notes that it has been settled by the cheque he drew the previous Saturday.
