Description | With regard to Vincent's paper recently communicated to the Society and intended for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', Harrison is desired to point out that if figure one is reproduced as it stands it would be too large for a page, and as he believes it is undesirable to attempt to reduce a tracing of the character he asks if Vincent thinks this figure can be curtailed without detracting from the purpose it is to serve.
With regard to the other two figures it is proposed to compress them vertically, which would not affect any of the curves, and to which he presumes Vincent would have no objection.
Harrison is not sending the drawings as they appear to be smoked tracings, which do not improve with travelling, but if Vincent wishes to refer to them, he can do so at the Society. Would like this point settled as soon as possible. |
