TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date15 December 1896
DescriptionHarrison, before printing off the "At Home" cards, asks whether he should add something to indicate that any demonstration of interest by a Fellow would be welcome. It was mentioned by several Fellows to Harrison at the last such event that they would have brought something interesting had they known it would have been welcomed. He believes such a notice was included when the "At Home" events were begun, but that it has since not been included.

Alternatively, he suggests sending a copy of the original circular with the invitation cards, as he believes there is a wish to avoid the meetings turning into soirees. Harrison asks for an opinion soon, so that he may get the cards printed before Christmas.
