| Description | The Council have decided that a discussion meeting of the Royal Society shall be held on 25th March on the spectroscopic evidence as to the chemical constitution of the stars. The discussion will be opened by Professor [Joseph Norman] Lockyer, who will make a communication 'On the Chemistry of the Hottest Stars'. This paper will be circulated before the meeting, but Harrison thinks it desirable to send Dewar at once a typewritten copy of the first part [not attached].
Rucker is directed to express the hope that Dewar till take part in the discussion and to draw Dewar's attention to Standing Order nine. If Dewar intends to take part it would be convenient if Dewar could inform Rucker before hand.
