TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Richard Tetley Glazebrook, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date10 March 1897
DescriptionOsborne Reynold's paper has come in and as the Committee gave Glazebrook power to refer it to [James Alfred] Ewing and [George] Carey-Foster in the order named, Rucker has sent it to Ewing and asked for an opinion by the 12th as to whether it is suitable for the Bakerian Lecture. Has also asked Ewing if he has any doubts to consult Glazebrook. The paper is divided into two parts which are practically treated as separate papers, and to save time Rucker has also asked Ewing whether he thinks the abstracts are too long. Rucker hopes Glazebook will approve of his taking these steps.

Encloses a letter from Wildermann [not attached]. Rucker was under the impression that Wildermann's abstract was not to be published but there was no formal resolution to that effect. If Glazebrook's recollection is the same as Rucker's, he will reply that publication was not authorized.
