| Description | The acceptance of a paper for reading by the Royal Society does not resolve its being printed even in abstract. The publication of the abstract in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' must be sanctioned by the proper authorities. In the case of Wildermann's paper this sanction was not given and therefore no abstract will appear.
As to copying of Wildermann's paper on Van't Hoff's constant, Rucker does not know if Wildermann is aware that the onus of copying or getting a paper copied lies with the author. It is quite an unusual thing for the communicator to have the paper copied, and he does not know whether such a course would be taken a second time.
If Wildermann wishes it however, Rucker will lay the request before the Council next Thursday, only in that case he shall be able to secure his interest better if he knows whether there is any good reason why Wildermann is unable to copy the paper himself. Asks to hear before Thursday. |
