DescriptionThe Committee appointed by the Royal Society to consider the organisation needed for an International Catalogue of Scientific Literature, has, in the course of its deliberations, requested Professor [Henry Alexander] Miers to deal with the classification of Mineralogy.

Foster and Rucker are directed on the part of the Society, to express the hope that the mineralogical Society will be willing to assist in an important work by giving him such aid as he may desire, and that the Society may be able and disposed to afford.
