TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Walter Gardiner, Fellow of the Royal Society, Clare College, Cambridge
Date18 December 1896
DescriptionAcknowledges Gardiner's letter of the previous day, enclosing a cheque for two pounds and two shillings. Harrison does not know what happened to the previous cheque sent by Gardiner, but suggests that it must have been lost in the post as neither he, nor Theodore E James, recall seeing the letter. As a consequence, Harrison advises that Gardiner cancel the former cheque, and expresses his regret for the trouble the matter has caused.
