TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to R W Parker, Honorary Secretary of the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society
Date28 April 1897
DescriptionApologises for the delay in replying to Parker's letter. Rucker cannot give any authoritative information as to the number of meetings which the delegates to the Committee on the International Catalogue of Scientific Literature will find to be necessary, or the hour of their meeting.

Rucker's impression is that the meetings will at first be held once or twice a month. The committee of the Royal Society are anxious that the delegates should include some gentlemen experienced in the management of great libraries and invitations have therefore been sent to the librarians of the British Museum, and to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, as well as to the Librarian of the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society. As the work to be undertaken is very important, Rucker hopes Parker's Council will be able to afford the Committee assistance.
