TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Turner Thiselton-Dyer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date29 April 1895
DescriptionHarrison has this morning received a report from Professor Bayley Balfour. Balfour thinks that Mr Percy Groom's paper should not be accepted for consideration by, nor appear in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. It is in the main an elaboration of points already known through previous investigations and supplemental to a paper by Mr Groom already published in the 'Journal of the Linnean Society'. Balfour thinks the author should be advised to submit the paper to the Linnean Society.

Harrison presumes therefore that the paper's communicator, Professor [Sydney Howard] Vines, is to be informed of the decision, if Dyer concurs with Balfour's opinion.
