TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr John Allen Harker, [Fellow of the Royal Society], 22 Mount Ararat Road, Richmond, Surrey
Date26 May 1897
DescriptionProfessor [Arthur William] Rucker has discussed with Harrison the subject of the passage through the French Custom's House, without disturbance, of the instruments Harker is about to take to Sevres. Harrison has had some conversation with Monsieur Guillaume of the Bureau International on the subject and Guillaume has informed him that if Harker registers his boxes through to Paris and lets Guillaume know in good time when he is to arrive in that city, Guillaume will meet Harker and see to the passage of the appartus through the Customs House without disturbance.

This being a much simpler way of dealing with the matter than by Foreign Office communications, Harrison shall be glad to hear that Harker agrees to this course of action.
