TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Burlow, Hillfield, Muswell Hill, N.
Date5 January 1897
Description'Dear Sir,
With reference to your letter of the 28th ult. [ultimate], there would be objection to the publication of a paper in German after an "abstract" if it had been published in the Society's "Proceedings [of the Royal Society]" before before the appearance of the full text in the "Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]". The publication of a paper elsewhere is never allowed to precede publications in the "Phil. Trans.". I regret the delay in answering your letter. It has been caused by the Christmas vacation.
I am, truly yours,
Robt Harrison
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
