Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society |
Date | 26 June 1897 |
Description | Harrison is not happy about Foskett, who was laid up a short time ago with a bad leg Foskett has now been absent from work for five weeks and for the better part of this time Harrison has been obliged to obtain temporary assistance from the Army Labour Corps.
Harrison is informed Foskett is still unfit to return and may require an operation to remove a piece of bone from his leg. This is a considerable inconvenience at the Society and Harrison feels it rather a heavy responsibility to retain a name on the pay list so long without special sanction to the double expense, and shall therefore be glad of Evans' opinion. Harrison has two Doctor's certificates and has asked for a third. |
