TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Professor George Downing Liveing, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date28 June 1889
DescriptionWill be much obliged if Liveing will give the Physics and Chemistry Committee his opinion as to whether the paper by Lockyer should appear in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. Papers printed in that form are not limited to 12 pages, except in special cases. Lockyer's paper will run to 20 pages and Rucker does not therefore feel justified in sanctioning it without the opinion of a referee.
