Description | Rucker thanks Moos for his letter of the 20th May, calling attention to the work of the Government Observatory, Bombay. The Council of the Society have lately appointed an Observatories Committee to take the place of the Committee formed in 1885. Moos' letter has been laid before this newly appointed Committee, of which Harrison is now a member, and he thinks it better, therefore, not to offer a personal and informal opinion on the report Moos was good enough to forward, but to wait until he is in a position to communicate to Moos the views of the Committee. |
