TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to George James Symons, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date17 July 1887
DescriptionIn reply to Symons' letter of the 12th instant, Harrison is desired by the Secretaries to say that the tract which Dr Hellmann of Berlin wishes to borrow is bound with a number of old tracts and it is a rule of the library for rare works not to be lent except by quite special permission, and not to go abroad at all. If Symons considers Hellman's object sufficiently important to justify the Library Committee being summoned to consider it, he shall have pleasure in laying the recommendation before them. Apologizes for the delay in replying but has been unusually busy.
