TitleCopy letter from Theodore E James, to Messrs West Newman & Company
Date4 August 1897
DescriptionSends herewith Dr Forsyth-Major's proof plate and originals [not attached]. Dr Major declines to accept those marked 'x' as not representing what the originals show. It should have been borne in mind that the photographs being from cast granulations, appearances 'not essential' would come in unless the originals were consulted.

Would be glad to know soon whether the Messrs have seen Forsyth Major or Woodward with a view to their help in the matter of interpreting the photographs. As it is they are at a deadlock.
